Theater and Dance Sector

The Department of Theater and Dance Education (TETHX) is responsible for:

  • The promotion of theatrical and orchestral education and the updating of its institutional framework.
  • The training and retraining of students or distinguished in the field of theatrical and orchestral education, in collaboration with Greek or foreign public and private bodies.
  • The institutionalized supervision, monitoring and inspection of the Higher Schools of Dramatic Art and the Higher Schools of Dance which consists of:
    • the control of the formal and substantive qualifications of the founders, the directors and the teaching staff after the opinion of the competent advisory committees of art education
    • in the organization of the Introductory and Diplomatic Examinations of the Higher Schools of Dramatic Art and the Higher Schools of Dance
    • the control and certification of the diplomas provided in accordance with the provisions in force at the time.
  • The organization of digital archives of theatrical schools and dance schools.
